I’m Bari Lyman, founder of Love Ready.
I had been in therapy since I was twelve. I could explain my history, my triggers, my type. And still I kept feeling drawn to the same kind of man—just in different packaging. Insight wasn’t the missing piece.

Deeply held beliefs about my worthiness—and about what love was supposed to feel like—were quietly choosing for me. They shaped whom I was drawn to and what I accepted.
What changed everything wasn’t trying harder. It was becoming someone new: clearing those old beliefs, getting honest about what I truly needed, and letting myself be seen. I experienced myself differently, and so I dated differently.

We’ve been married for 22 years.
Marriage taught me that being Love Ready isn’t a finish line. It’s a practice—choosing openness over self-protection, saying what I need, and receiving love when it’s offered. Those small, daily choices are what keep connection alive.
